At one time or another,
many of us
have seen the statue of Justice, often blindfolded and holding the
balanced scales of justice. Her image was intended to symbolize the
fair and equitable administration of justice, done "without favor,
prejudice, avarice or corruption." However, there are growing numbers
of people in our Country who believe, instead, that our justice system
is blind to the needs of those it was designed to protect. Our legal
system should never favor one group over another, one corporation over
another person, and its doors should always remain open to everyone. We
should all stand in equal footing under the law. However, all too
often, this is not the case as many people now feel helpless and
frustrated by a justice system that frequently favors those with
political influence or money and does so at the expense of our
Constitutional freedoms.
There should be no
doubt in
anybody's mind that our Country's legal system is under attack in a
deliberate effort to take away the rights of everyday people to stand
equally with those megacorporations who wield seemingly unlimited power
and influence. These corporations utilize carefully crafted spin
campaigns and well financed political influence in their attempts to
restrict or eliminate an individual's remedies in a court of law. And
these same corporations have little regard for the jury system, where
citizens can make a difference in the struggle against injustice.
Attorney Tim Rowe, of
the Indiana
law firm of Rowe and Hamilton, has dedicated his legal career to the
fight against corporate abuse of our Country's legal system and to the
defense of everyday people against such injustices. The radio program
"You And The Law" is meant to be a forum for the discussion of the hot
legal topics and issues of the day and where everybody can call in with
their legal questions and concerns. Each week, this Web Site will be
updated with summaries of previous program content and the latest legal
news of interest as well as dozens of useful legal links and additional
information intended to assist people with legal questions and
problems. Tim uses the radio program and this Web Site to answer
questions regarding both Indiana and Federal law in addition to talking
about many other interesting and provocative legal topics, including
lawsuits and legal opinions from all over the United States. "You And
The Law" can be heard LIVE every Saturday at 10:00 AM on WXNT 1430 AM,
Indianapolis, Indiana.
The United States has
the greatest
legal system in the world and it remains the foundation of the very
freedoms upon which this Country is based. It is our hope that this
program will serve as a motivation and an inspiration in the fight to
uphold these freedoms and the exercise of those rights guaranteed to
everyone by the U.S. Constitution.

In
what had to have been the coldest "remote" in Radio History, You And
The Law's
Tim Rowe and Jill Savage, along with a frozen crew, braved icy winds
and bitterly-cold temperatures to broadcast You And The Law LIVE from
the parking lot of Barrington's Jewelers in Castleton.

The LIVE broadcast of You And
The Law kicked off a day of Frozen Festivities to benefit the WRTV6
annual Toys for Tots campaign.
Taking calls live, Tim dispensed his usual great, FREE legal advice,
while Jill made the show flow smoothly, despite the freezing cold, and
the technical challenges of doing a LIVE radio call-in show while
sitting in the middle of a parking lot.
Credit is also due to
WXNT's great techincal crew for helping to make this happen.
The show even had a impromptu
guest, as YATL's webmaster, Doug "Webmaster D", jumped in during the final minutes of
the show to fill-in for Jill, who had
to leave early due to a prior commitment.
